The workshop culminated in the publication of the Arabic Type Design for Beginners, an Illustrated Guidebook by Khatt Books edited by Huda Smitshuijzen-AbiFarès. The book presents step-by-step instructions on the design principles and tools of Arabic type design, with detailed tutorials by some of the most renown specialists in the field of contemporary Arabic type design. In addition, it showcases the creative process through case studies of the fonts produced during these workshops. These fonts are presented as sources of inspiration for new and experimental Arabic typefaces. In addition to my typeface the book also features my photos and documentation.
